Requirements

Title: Business Development Manager – GCC- CWA

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Maersk Nigeria Limited is now looking for an outstanding Commercial leader to join as the Business Development Manager – GCC/CWA Cluster.
  • Reporting directly to the CWA Cluster Sales Director, the role will be responsible for Delivering targeted volume and market share on GCC- CWA, analyze and identify opportunities to grow Chinese business, drive GCC knowledge/education within CWA cluster and act as the VPS coordinator between GCC/AFR, promote Maersk brand image and lift Chinese customers’ engagement through events and daily attendance and Stakeholder Management with government officials representing ML.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, articulate and drive sales strategies for customer segments in CWA;
  • Overall CWA cluster RoFo with GCC;
  • Leverage understanding of China & CWA business environment to support development of the sales strategy;
  • Interface with ML GCC organization and Trade & Marketing in both China and CWA for new business opportunities;
  • Develop local differentiators, and formulate a business plan to support target deliveries and sharper value propositions in CWA cluster;
  • Ensure optimal activity management and account management to truly understand customers and their needs;
  • Drive campaigns to generate a healthy pipeline and yield;
  • Oversee the Cluster’s forecasting and budgeting processes to align with business goals;
  • Any other China business related activity that would assist volumes to CWA;
  • Make joint sales calls with sales representatives;
  • Maintain senior relationships with top accounts;
  • Contribute significantly towards achieving market share target for FEA Trade;
  • Sharing Africa knowledge, origin destination liaison, Africa business development and market intelligence;
  • Stakeholder management with government officials and representing ML to ensure due protocol for optimal outcome to the line.

Requirements
We are looking for:

  • Ability to communicate fluently in both Chinese and English;
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in commercial roles with strong experience of China market,
  • Knowledge of Central West Africa Market is a plus,
  • Bachelor Degree
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, dealing with a large number of internal and external stakeholders;
  • Demonstrated results in business performance, leadership and organizational development;
  • Ability to work under pressure to agreed deadlines and adapt to change;
  • Ability to work in a flexible manner – out of hours as required;
  • The ability to pay high attention to detail and deliver high quality work;

Title: Facilities Maintenance Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Project management, supervision and coordinating work of contractors and ensure deadlines and budgets are met
  • Provide and supervise maintenance and repair services for buildings, air condition systems, electrical systems, water distribution systems, fire-fighting lines, water-proofing, sewage lines, drains of all buildings, yard pavement, drain cleaning, yard marking and painting, road repairs.
  • Ensures that emergency work is timely attended on given priority.
  • Perform and submits routine and critical inspection at site
  • Ensure very high housekeeping standards at work areas such as yard, work shop and buildings etc.
  • Making estimates for new works or repair jobs
  • Obtaining offers, negotiation and finalization of work
  • Follow-up with Contractor for timely and quality execution of projects and Quality control on work done
  • Plans and scheduling of maintenance, repairing and refurbishments of terminal facilities.
  • Provide technical specialist support to artisans during Facilities plant breakdowns thereby minimizing the impact on operations
  • Supervises the maintenance of records and reports on work performed;
  • Develops, evaluates, or review plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities; assesses feasibility of proposals.
  • Performs safety audits of external contractors located/working at APMTAL premises.
  • Monitors and evaluates facility maintenance operations, programs, processes and/or practices for quality and effectiveness; makes recommendations for improvement.

Requirements
We are looking for:

  • University Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering
  • Requires specific technical knowledge in civil maintenance and repair works.
  • Requires at least 6 years of general experience in civil engineering or Building & Facilities Maintenance
  • Must be able to attend various emergency tasks on priority.
  • Being honest and having very strong moral principles.
  • Must be familiar with Civil standards and Building Regulations
  • Requires ability to interpret civil and technical drawings /diagrams.
  • Requires good verbal and written communications skills in English.
  • Requires a good financial understanding
