Title: Business Analyst

Location: Kano
Summary

  • The Business Analyst is responsible for the requirements analysis and documentation, specification, development cycle and execution of a variety of software projects.
  • S/he manages the sprint and release process and communicates all changes to relevant stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Discovers, documents, and prioritizes client needs and requirements, translating them to specific software requirements
  • Supports Information Systems Manager in developing specifications, timelines and budget
  • Manages prioritization in close coordination with the programs and engineering teams
  • Organizes and facilitates project planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other project-related meetings
  • Tracks tasks and milestones and reports on the project’s progress
  • Supports Information Systems Manager in establishing software development processes with the local development team
  • Acts as an interface between program units, technology teams and support teams in collaboration with a Senior Business Analyst
  • Documents business and system processes using UML notation and Case tool like Enterprise Architect
  • Ensures that the recommended solution has a competitive edge
  • Understands the technical designs as well as the specifications
  • Effectively communicates with internal teams and external clients to deliver functional requirements such as GUI, screen and interface designs
  • Provides expertise to identify and translate system requirements into software design documentation
  • Works as a technical writer to ensure quality internal and external client-oriented documentation
  • Provides end-to-end solution and design details
  • Demos product functionalities for customers and other stakeholders

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from college or university in Computer Science, Business Management, Engineering, Information Systems Technology or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years hands-on product or project management experience with software products and solutions
  • Desirables: UML, SCRUM, MICROSOFT Technologies
  • Demonstrated experience to gather user requirements from a number of sources and build product requirements.  Ability to identify product improvements that meet organizational and client needs
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum Framework
  • Excellent written and verbal communications with a strong aptitude for succinctly presenting thoughts and ideas to internal and external stakeholders
  • Organizational skills and great attention to detail
  • Must be able to work as a member of a team and possess good problem-solving skills
  • Must have the ability to manage conflicts and resolve problems effectively

Title: Chief Accountant

Location: Kano
Purpose of the Position

  • The Chief Accountant performs daily accounting activities as well as additional analytical responsibilities that may include support of the management team in a variety of operational decisions that have a financial impact.
  • S/he conducts a timely and accurate close of ledgers and facilitates the preparation of the organization financial statements.
  • S/he engages in financial analysis in such areas as cost reduction analysis and reviewing operational performance. The Chief Accountant will report to the Snr. Manager, Global Controller.

What You’ll Do
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Manages the organization’s on-site daily accounting records.
  • Validates accounting entries to the general ledger and bank reconciliation and creates recurring journal entries.
  • Ensures all accounting entries are accurate and supported by appropriate documentation.
  • Prepares monthly account reconciliations in support of the financial statements.
  • Assists with the preparation and administration of the financial audit and preparation of tax return work papers.
  • Ensures timely close of monthly ledgers and company books.
  • Engages in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the organization.
  • Interprets the company’s financial results to management and recommends improvement activities.
  • Performs any other duties assigned by Management.
  • May frequently travel between company worksites.

Requirements
Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree from college or university in Finance and Accounting or any other related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 5-8 years professional accounting/finance experience preferably with a non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of and experience with financial systems software.
  • A proven track record of achievement in the areas of finance and accounting as well as a mastery of spreadsheets.
  • Must understand accounts payable, receivables and be able to work effectively and efficiently in the organization’s accounting system.
  • Must understand accounting terminology and have worked with budgets, forecasts and variance reporting.
  • Good knowledge of financial management and accounting and budget holding principles. Excellent communication skills and an ability to work independently and comfortable coordinating multi-country staff.
  • Organizational skills and great attention to detail. Must be able to work as a leader and member of a team and possess good problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, multi-task and work independently.
  • Must have the ability to manage conflicts and resolve problems effectively.

Title: Registered Nurse

Location: Kano
Purpose of the Position

  • The Registered Nurse provides direct and indirect care for assigned patients in various nursing units and home visits per scheduled shift.
  • The Registered Nurse is primarily responsible for professional performance and safe patient care.
  • The role encompasses nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination of care for patients across the healthcare continuum involving families.
  • Duties include but are not limited to, managing patients with various medical cases.

What you’ll do

  • Perform patient assessment using appropriate, problem focused, and age-specific assessment techniques.

Who you are
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or ability required to successfully perform this job:

  • Bachelor’s Degree of Nursing from an accredited nursing college, University  with High Distinction (Top 10% of graduating class).
  • Must have current clinical experience in direct patient care and have worked a minimum of 24 months in a 20+ bed hospital in the last 3 years.
  • Must have at least 3 years of postgraduate nursing experience in an accredited University Teaching, Federal Medical Centre or International hospital.
  • Hold and maintain a current nursing license to practice in Nigeria..
  • Ability to pass a written knowledge test and interview.
  • Knowledge and skills to provide vaccination.
  • Knowledge and skills to perform minor trauma care including suturing, plaster casting, I&D, debridement etc.
  • Knowledge and skills to stabilize trauma patients prior to transport to higher level of care.
  • Proficient in using a computer for patient care, documentation and communication.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership skills that include the ability to build effective teams, ability to motivate others, delegate, and make timely/quality decisions.
  • Proficiency working within specialized software utilized in program.

Title: Warehouse Manager

Location: Rann, Borno
Job Summary

  • The Warehouse Manager oversees inventory and coordinate shipping procedures along with ensuring that all company products are moved from the storage area to the required destination in a safe and timely manner.
  • He is also responsible for handling accounting and record keeping activities, as well as manage the inventory system and keep abreast of the costs that are involved in making purchases.Generally keeps, secure and distribute asset of eHA as requested.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Others duties may be assigned:

  • Coordinates the tracking and movement of goods and supplies. Keep accurate waybill records.
  • Manage stock using the internal warehouse and stock management procedures.
  • Performs a variety of tasks related to the Asset Management function.  Logs all new asset in the asset register and ensures the appropriate coding and labeling of assets. Updates asset register regularly with changes and new acquisitions.
  • Ensure that the electronic database/asset, inventory tracking database, and all relevant documentation are updated on a monthly basis and provide signed hard copies for the physical files.
  • Perform various warehousing tasks and operations using dedicated software applications and databases.
  • Provide weekly warehouse report, Asset database and inventory tracking report to the Operations Manager.
  • Accomplishes warehouse human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; timekeeping, recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements.
  • Meets warehouse financial standards by providing annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
  • Moves inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from the warehouse; coordinating inventory transfers with related departments.
  • Delivers supplies and equipment to departments by receiving and transferring items.
  • Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements.
  • Maintains inventory by conducting monthly physical counts; reconciling variances; inputting data.
  • Accomplishes warehouse and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Participates in and promotes a positive, supportive, cooperative team environment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Warehousing, Logistics, Procurement or any other related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience, with at least 2 years supporting fair and open procurements including conducting cost/price analyses, preferred vendor negotiations, and working within US government regulations.
  • Experience working with US government-funded acquisition and assistance instruments preferred.
  • 2 years’ experience with an NGO at a supervisory level.
